Pink Saturday, Pink Rose antique Postcard with Isaiah 9:6, Door Wreath

Happy Pink Saturday with How Sweet The Sound. I tried to find pink and Christmas, but so far only have my magenta and gold wreath on the door I made in 200 to go on the front door of the antique shop we had at the time. I attached greens,  magenta, nearly red Christmas balls and gold ones to a wreath frame and then added the gold star garland and made a bow of sheer gold metallic ribbon. Which now I look at it, needs to be replaced again...a thing I do about every 3 years. Also, I usually give it a fresh gold glitter florist spray but I haven't found that in my Christmas stuff yet.

By next week I should have the rest of the interior dons..we have the outside lights up so now it's the inside. I'm a bit late this year because of the back issues I have been dealing with from a car accident in 2007 that reoccurs periodically.

I am planning to share an antique Christmas postcard every day, as I absolutely love them. I found this one with a pink rose and my favorite Yuletide scripture from Isaiah 9:6:

This unused postcard dates to the 1910s and was obviously treasured. And it has a pink rose! Perfect!

And a last pink. I found this in the pages of the Christmas With Victoria for 2000 book....pale pink roses and candles on an ironstone tiered served. Lovely.

May your week be filled with the light and joy of the season.

  5. I have a great love for the old penny postcards. They are so beautiful especially the holiday ones. I like to copy them and use them for gift tags and my journals. Happy Pink Saturday. :)

  6. You are a busy beaver getting all your halls decked - and I'm sure you'll find all your goodies to do so in time! A nice postcard - I see so many Christmas postcards of vintage variety, but very few reflecting the spiritual aspect of the day. Very nice.
    Joy!
