Dec. 10th Antique Christmas Postcard and a Christmas Cross Stitch

Here is my antique Christmas postcard for Dec. 10th, I didn't post it earlier because I didn't want to conflict with my Pink Saturday post!

This antique postcard was postmarked Dec. 23, 1911 at Portland, Maine. The card is an embossed divided back with another of the vignettes of a snowscene that I love so much with holly and the words "Remembrance like the ivy clings"  and Hearty Xmas wishes. I just love these old postcards!

And I have just gotten out my Christmas cross stitch pictures. I have been doing cross stitch for about 20 some odd years, and have several Christmas designs that live in the closet the rest of the year.

I did this one sometime in the 1990s. It says Alleluia Christ is Born and has quite a bit of gold filament work that doesn't show up on the photo. It goes in the dining room. I need to start another. I got doing cross stitch ornaments, and haven't done a large project lately. Looks like it's time to start one! It's beginning to look like Christmas around here!

Have a great Sunday. I hope the air improves. We have had in inversion layer here...the first recorded and my allergies have been awful. I am looking forward to a bit of wind & rain to clear the air!
