Teacup & Teapot Thursday Royal Grafton Gold chintz, Victoria Tea Festival

I absolutely love this teacup & wanted to share it today for Teacup Thursday with Miss Spenser.  Royal Grafton is one of my favorite manufacturers and they have a long career. They were actually made by A. B. Jones from their Grafton Works near Stoke-on-Trent in England. That particular works began in 1900. This particular teacup was made in the 1950s, the height of their production time...and a great time for teacups! I love the gold floral overlay chintz and the hand painted floral bouquets. Lovely!

For Pacific Northwest folks...just a reminder that the annual Victoria, B. C. Tea Festival is this weekend, Feb. 11-12th. We are taking the ferry over on Saturday...were going on Friday, but the ferry, The Coho ferry has been in for it's annual 2 week beauty treatment and a refurbishment of the restaurant in the drydock in Victoria, B. C. delayed it's return to service from Monday to Friday so it's first sailing from Port Angeles in Sat. morning...and we'll be on her!

It will be interesting to see the vendors, taste the samples, and see what I can learn. Will be taking photos and post them next week.

It's also a 37th Anniversay overnight for our 37th anniversay a few days early, as our anniversary is actually on the 16th. Victoria is a great place for that. Who knows...we may end up at the Empress for tea!

Have a great day...it's sunny here so will be out enjoying it!
