Friar Tuck Goebel Cream Jug West Germany Cross Eyes

From the sold archives at Antiques And Teacups
Is this the cutest guy, or what! This little Friar Tuck or Brown Monk cream, creamer or milk jug was made by Hummel, Goebel of Germany 1950-1956. The Friar Tuck series of ceramic cuties was immensly popular and still very collectible. The monks were made as pitchers, jugs, salt and peppers, cookie jars, covered pots etc. And all were hand painted. Obviously, some of the artists had a sense of humor because periodically you find one with crossed eyes. SOOO CUTE! For more about this little guy visit the listing at Antiques And Teacups.

I hope you had a lovely Valentine's Day. Ours was fun. Today is our 36th anniversary. Cool! Out to dinner and a celebration!

We're supposed to have gorgeous weather for the next 3 days...warm and sunny. I love to get out walking the spring & see what bulbs and plants are popping up. My Daphne even has a fragrant cluster of blossoms already.

Have a great day and don't forget a cup of tea is relaxing and full of antioxidants.

Although this cute little guy sold, we have others available at Antiques And Teacups.
