Pink Saturday For Fall, Happy Canadian Thanksgiving, Pink Teacup

Hi There. I am joining Beverly for her Pink Saturday Fall edition, but don't have a thing that is fall and pink!

But...the wreath I made is on the door...

And I want to wish all of my Canadian friends a wonderful Thanks giving weekend and fabulous day on Monday holiday.

I do have something pink...Guess what!!! A pink teacup!!!   WHAT a surprise!

I am constantly having favorites in the teacups I find...and this is my latest fav! The Royal Standard, England cup and saucer was made in between 1946 and 1954, and is called Rosamund. But Rosamund must have loved rhododendrons, because that's what the flowers are. I love the pale pink interior. Lovely!

One of the things that's special about this teacup is that it is signed by the artist, F. F. Errill, which doesn't often happen on teacups.  Errill was the art director at Royal Standard then and subsequently went to Royal Albert. He was with then until the 1990s when the company was taken over by Royal Doulton when he retired. Can you see the signature below? For more info on the teacup at Antiques And Teacups, click on the photos.

So there is my nod to a Pink Saturday as well. I hope you have a wonderful fall weekend and besides visiting the wonderful blogs, take time for a relaxing cup of tea with someone you love!

  3. Hi Ruth,
That is a very pretty teacup! Your wreath is lovely. I am waiting for them to finish working on our street before I put mine out. The red clay floating around just makes such a mess of everything.
Thank you for your visit and very sweet comment about my blog birthday. It's ladies like yourself that keep me wanting to do my very best and offer something fresh and sweet in every post I put on. Hope you have a lovely weekend and I am looking forward to Thanksgiving. Got my pies all made!

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  9. Beautiful pink tea cup and saucer. My Mom was so into pink - so as a result, I have alot of pink things. They are such precious memories. Her whole Christmas tree was filled with pink ornaments. One of my granddaughters said it looked like a pink fluff ball!!
