Tuesday Cuppa Tea, Fall Tea Tray, Harney Blueberry Green Tea

Hello and welcome to Tuesday Cuppa Tea. It has been fall here, so I am celebrating that...

As usual, my old Victoria, Tea Time and Country Home magazines and Country Diary Of An Edwardian Lady has been a companion at teatime respites...

We had a fall themed tea in the sunroom...

The tea tray was a welcome break from dealing with some medical issues...my husband's neurologist, who has treated his Parkinson's Disease for 5 years, is leaving the area November 9th. And we are rural enough, the closest other neurologist is in Seattle 85 miles away...not good...so a relaxing tea was definitely the order of the day...

I am using my family 1950s Arzberg, Germany unnamed pattern china that my parents brought home from a convention/international meeting in Munich...

I do love the fruit and nuts....recently I found some pieces of the same pattern which I don't need, so will be adding the to my shop Antiques And Teacups as soon as I can...

Joining me on the tea tray is a cut little pewter squirrel candle holder my daughter gave me one year...I just love him...a good companion...

And with a lot of appointments, phone calling, etc I didn't bake this week, but did find these cheery fall cookies at our local QFC...I especially love the mils almond flavor they all have, as a lover of Marzipan and almond paste...

I realized I had forgotten the tea! We drink green tea every day, and recently decided to try 2 new Harney & Sons flavors...today's was Blueberry Green tea sachets...

It was quite strong smelling...the mail box smelled like the tea even inside a tin in a box! Actually, I thought it smelled like an artificial grape smell, which I don't like, but despite the smell, it does taste like blueberries and vanilla and is quite nice...

and brews a delicate pale straw color as you can see in this photo...So grab a cookie and a cup, and it's so nice to have you for tea! We have remembered to rejoice in our blessings and live one day at a time, trusting in the grace of God! Can't get any better than that!

I am joining:

  1. Good morning Ruth,
I'm sorry you will have to travel to see the neurologist. That is so inconvenient. I hope your hubby gets along well with this new doctor.
What pretty china and your tea sounds lovely! It's wonderful when we have a little something like your pewter squirrel to add to the tea tray. It looks very charming. Thanks for sharing and have a beautiful day.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  2. I was sorry to read about how far your dear hubby must travel to visit the nearest neurologist, Ruth.
Your tea today is so pretty with your beloved parent's china. The squirrel candle holder is adorable, and the blueberry green tea sounds delightful. Thanks so much for hosting and have a great week.

  4. That's too bad that your local neurologist is leaving. Let's hope that the Seattle neurologist will be worth the drive!

The squirrel candle holder is too cute! Now that fall is here, I've been keeping an eye out for the pumpkin treats (Pumpkin Oreos, Cheerios, etc.)

    Thank you for hosting, Ruth!

    1. Just wanted to give you a heads up that if you don't find the 3 Teas Peppermint Ginger Green Tea in Victoria, you can order them online (looks like they ship to the States):

  7. Blessings, Ruth!
So excited to post a tea related post this week so I can join in the link-up and make time to visit around. Teatime posts are a luxury these days, with my writing focus having changed to books, writing, and homeschool. Speaking of books, I love my own Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady--but did you know there's another? The Nature Notes of an Edwardian Lady. Apparently, there was another year she had begun a diary but left it unfinished and featuring more scribbles than not. New subjects for her watercolors, too. The book is very like Country Diary, except for the bits that in the original were scribbles. They simply font them between pages of original longhand and sketches. Still, lovely stuff.
    Joy!

  8. Hi Ruth,
I am so sorry to hear that a neurologist will be so far away for you and hubby. My father had Parkinson's disease and I do understand your worries. Your blue German teacup is so pretty and your post is just beautiful today. I love the squirrel on your tray and birdies in your Country Diary. Blessings, Karen
